Dumb valve position

The handles on both dump valves on my trailer face downward which makes it uncomfortable to open and close the valves.
I'm thinking that the bolts can be removed and the valves simply rotated in place so they face the side of the trailer for easier operation .

What do you think?

Sometimes they will rotate without removing any screws. Have you tried turning them? If this does not work removing the screws and making a quarter turn should work.
