Electric window visor

Driver side visor is bound on left side by a small metal piece and will not roll up or down; motor is still working. It is a Carefree product. Any advise on how to get it down and repair it.

Remove mounts at top and disconnect wiring paying attention to polarity. Make repairs and reinstall.

There should be an inch or 1-1/4" screw at both ends of the visor and we just cut the wire as no plug was visible. It's a 2 person job to make sure the visor doesn't fall and gouge the dash - might put a quilt down...
