Electronics Question

We have a Winnebago 22R with 2 TVs and a Sony DVD player.

On a wintertime Texas trip the DVD player would intermittently appear to stop, the TV screen would go blank, then after a few seconds the DVD player would resume. Often every couple of minutes this glitch would occur.

I replaced the DVD player, Sam Ting. Still hiccups. Both or either TVs.

Anybody have something like this happen? There has to be some kind of signal splitter because there is only one HDMI output, and it ends up going to 2 TVs and a coaxial outlet out side.

Whatcha think?

No doubt you have already thought of it but the symptoms that you describe could very well be caused by a loose connection at the HDMI splitter (which are generally powered). Check that first since you have already ruled out the TVs and DVD.

Does the DVD player it self stop? Check power supply to DVD.

Does it only on one TV then check cable for a short from the splitter.

Does it both TV check cable DVD to spltter. If OK replace splitter.

Connection are a weak spot, poor contact. Had a motor home that a screw had enteted the SAT cable between Sat and sat box.

Hope this helps and not confusing.
