Several companies provide this coverage including Good Sam and Camping World.

I am looking for such coverage, but I see some price and coverage differences.

What has been you experience? Is Good Sam the better choice?

Hi Ted,

I bought this type of coverage when we took an RV trip to Alaska in 2001, at the time it was only about $35 for a year. It gave me some peace of mind in the event of a medical issue that would prevent me from getting the rig home.

There were a lot of conditions that would have to be met, but basically they would pay to drive the rig back home if I couldn't for medical reasons. They'd also pay to get me back subject to a lot of other conditions.

I didn't renew after 1 year, there were so many conditions that had to be met to support a payable claim I felt it was a waste of any more premiums.

As you look for something which may fit your need, take a look at Coach-Net

Thanks Dick for you input.

I just feel that for Judy's comfort, we should have some type of coverage.

So far Good Sam's program seems to fit. I did not find anything in Coach Net although I have their roadside assistance package via Winnebago.

I will continue to study this after we arrive in Florida next Thursday.

The type of insurance I think you are looking at, Good Sam and probably others, don't cover exsisting issues (look at the very small print). I quit paying for it for that reason. If you are looking for insurance for vehicle break down, Good Sam is excellent.
