Eternabond Tape

Has anyone used the externa bond joint tape? I would like to use this in place of caulk for the front and rear cap. Also on top of slides and roof top to cover and protect cable wires from dish

Here is their website https://www.eternabond.com , read and look around on there and they will explain what to use and how to prep it. Also go to youtube and watch video's on prep and installation of it on there........there are a lot of good video's on there.
Yes, I did the job myself..........

Make sure its clean. Alcohol is the preferred cleaner. If you use it to cover the wires on roof keep in mind the water channeling it will create so it will run off somewhere you want not over the slide, windows, or storage compartment. This includes air conditioner runoff not just rain. You can just use strips to hold it in place as opposed to a continuously covered run also,

Eternabond makes a cleaner and a primer. You can get by without it but they recommend it for a diy. Prep is everything for a long term seal.

Our 05 Artic Fox had Eternabond on both caps from the factory. It came loose while driving down the highway. Called Artic Fox...they suggested a install a metal strip on the front end cap. And that they were changing their design plans. Just my 2 cents...good luck..now with my Crossroads Jefferson. I've removed all the crap screws they use to hold down the cap. Half were over tighten and had snapped in half. The other half of screws were rusted out. Want to Ave hardware. Pick up some stainless steel screw. One size longer and bigger. Reseal with self level DiCor.Click image for larger version

I used Eternabond tape to replace the skylight on our older class A . Worked great ! No probs. As said ,, with anything, make sure the area is clean. AND make sure you have it where you want it Before you contact the surface... No second chances !

If doing the front, rear, and sides, start at the rear.....then the sides with the side pieces over the top of the rear tape ends, then the front last, with those ends over the top of the side ends.....same for all rectangular or square things....

This blogger has used it. Look at the video, he's been a full timer for years and is an experienced d.i.y.'er. He did a tidy job with the tape on both ft and rear caps as you are planning to do:
