Well, when I was in high school one of my friends said one day... "When you say your name real fast it sounds like Romeo...". 40 years later when logging into forums I had to come up with a username. I didnt want to use my first and last name, so I made a contraction of my names... RonMeo was too close to my real name so I dropped the "n" and it spelled "Romeo" and that reminded me of what my good friend said years before. My high school friend died a few years ago, so it is now used it in memory of my high school buddy.

I have wanted to change it on many occasions, but haven't yet.

For a bunch of years we had cattle and horses. In this other life I was forever pulling new calves into the world, doctoring on sick horses and cattle, vacinating new calves and suturing injured dogs. My favorite uncle used to call me Horse Doctor. Anyone who did this kind of stuff was a horsedoctor to him. Later I went to EMT school and learned how to treat trauma and suture with correct knots and such. The name doc just seemed appropriate. I am horsedoc on another forum

When I was a Warrant Officer Candidate(WOC) at Ft. Wolters Texas and soloed in a TH-55 helicopter my Instructor Pilot(IP) gave me a little card that said "Having Remained Motionless In Space; Flown Backward, Forward,Sideways And Vertically In U.S. Army Helicopters I Was Designated A Genuine U.S. Army 'Hoverbug' I still have the card, dated 31 Oct 69.
