In 1965 while abord the USS Independence we headed to Viet Nam. Before crossing the equator a sailor is a "Pollywog" and after you cross and get initiated (like this link shows) http://bobandlois.net/sailor/crustyshellback.htm you become a "Shellback". You get a certificate and it goes into you personnel file.

I had worked in the motion picture film industry for 46 years. Thirty one of those years with Eastman Kodak in Rochester and then ten years in Hollywood, CA working for Consolidated Film Industries followed by Technicolor Film Laboratories who eventually purchased CFI. Then another five years working for UCLA building them a film preservation & restoration laboratory, staffing it and managing it until February 2009.

During all of those years, I served in many capacities but was well known for being a "Technical Director" and an extremely thorough problem solver for both customers and various company's throughout the film industry.

After a while I acquired the nickname, "Doctor for Film" as I would fix literally thousands of problems with either the film being used in their equipment or the equipment itself that was handling the film.

I soon took the nickname DR4FILM and have used it for my business name, email, license plates, handles, etc.

Dr4Film ----- Richard.

I am from Texas and been in the industrial refrigeration field since before 1970. Thus TEXAS plus Ice man = TXiceman

We almost always have our GoldWing with us. However, the name came when we had our 2nd one, we are now on our 3rd Wing but I do not want to go thru all the trouble of changing to goldwingerx3. If our MH could run as many miles as our Wings without any repairs, I will be driving this MH for another 280,00 miles.

I own a Lamborghini and I've been on other car forums for the past few years. Lambo's insignia is a bull, hence....bullheaded. Me and the car.

The handle is was the product of my late wife. Her initials were E. I. My initials are E. I. and we live in Ohio. Thus eieioh. Coincidently, my current wife's initials are E. I., so no need to change the moniker.

Although I live in a farming community, the crops I plant better not come up! (I'm an embalmer/funeral director not a farmer.)

There are 4 of us Humans and when the kids leave the coop we still have the lab & husky so it will still be 4Knights, Used to use 4nites on our boat because we could never get the kids to stay on the lake for more than 4nites
