I got the nickname of Grumpy when I was a kid in rompers. My Uncle would come over and ask where is the grumpy baby, and it stuck. And, I drive truck. Currently laid up due to #4 knee surgery, but still got the CDL!

Wife came up with it when I would ask if she had anything for me to do and if she did not then I was going fly my RC planes or fish or golf and she would say you have a yardpass hence the name.

Wow.. It originally came from the name of a CO2 car I made in 7th grade shop.. Kinda tells how long I stayed up to make it, spelled with part of my last name.

"Madame Boomer" was not a name I selected by myself, but rather a term of endearment bestowed upon me by early members of the Texas Boomers RV group.

I'm sure it has raised some eyebrows from time to time, particularly when we go out to public places in a community where we are camping!

The funniest situations are the chuckles I get from my mail carriers! They deliver mail to me from group members addressed to "The Madame" or "Madame Boomer"!!! I've had to explain on more than one occasion....it's WHO I am, not WHAT I do! And I even get mail addressed to Madame Boome from rv resorts, rv related industries, etc etc etc!

I had a hard time explaining to the bank one time as I tried to cash a check addressed to Madame Boomer! I got it cashed, but it took a lot of 'splaining!!!!

When email first started in business world I decided to have employees initials in front of short job title as address. Just kept using mine.

First I loved the TV show, then I loved the song, and finally I did get on several sections of Route 66. It seemed appropriate for a RVer.

YouTube - Opener to "Route 66" US TV series, 1960--64

YouTube - Natalie Cole- Route 66
Adios, Dirk - '84 Real Lite Truck Camper, '86 Wilderness Cimarron TT, previously 4 years as a fulltimer in a '07 DSDP

Before I retired I owned a furniture manufacturing business called ''Cecil Johnson Mfg Inc.''. The ''Johnson'' was my friend that died in 88 and I bought out his half from his widow. Some years later when I got on the innernet I needed a ''code name'' to register on Yahoo. Since ''Cecil'' is a fairly common name I had to add something to it to get it registered for myself. My late wife Linda suggested ''SeaJay'' because I was a sailor and to honor my dead partner ''Tommy Johnson''.

The name ''Seajay'' was taken but I added ''the Sailor Man'' and it registered here and on other networks I am registered on.

Today I am known by most of my friends as ''Seajay'' although Wayne the Marine usually calls me ''Mr Cecil'' out of deep respect for the Navy and because we are not on a first name basis in our friendship yet.
(aint that right Wayne).... hehehehe.. ping.....

God bless our vets and thank them for your freedoms.....
