When my first granddaughter first began talking she couldn't get out the "p" in pappy, so appy is what it is. After 15 years and 6 more grandchildren they all call me Appy. I'm glad it stuck, think it is so cute to remember that little voice.

Lanny is what my golfing buddies called me since my last name is Lanahan. The 1763 was the PIN # issued to me for some credit union account that I no longer have.

My last name is Newton. I was tagged with Fig in the 7th grade. When I saw it would not go away, I added the extra "g", just to be different. ( I tell people it's with 2 g's i'm not a fruit).

1983 started racing latemodel stock car at 1/3 mile bullring in ct. 3rd week behind wheel, won qualifing heat, and feature , in victory lane, announcer called me rapid rick. It stuck, door on my pu truck has small letters with this nickname, have to say the last time I was ticketed for speeding, thought about peeling them off. Officers last words were [slow it down RAPID RICK].
thought to myself "how does he know me?" duh!...............

t55watson...1st name initial and last name are obvious. 55? Working with a good friend and we decided our bad word usage was getting out of hand so a fine system was set up, also a word list. The fine was a nickel a word. I had 2 words I word say together, thus the double nickel. Which became my CB handle. It was a long time ago but I use 5's in a lot of areas now.

Mine's Spacenorman. The "Norman" suffix was pinned on me by a short timer who lived my barracks in Ansbach, Germany in 1976. I had been in country for roughly 3 months and tried to argue that I wasn't a "newbie" any longer. After a minute or two of an "I am NOT ... You are too!" argument, the debate ended with him declaring that I was "Norman New Kid" ... after which folks just started referring to me as Norman. (I'm not ... actually, my name is Patrick). '

The "Space" part got added very late one Saturday night after a long day of partying with my buddies. I was in the middle of saying something and had my train of thought completely derail. One of my buddies dismissed the whole incident by saying "Don't mind him - that's just the Space Norman".

I've been Space Norman ever since! :-)
