Looking for others who have and had service paid for by an extended service plan.

I have a quote from Good Sam for the " Continued Service Plan, with $250.00 deductible for $1202.00 a year. Seems to cover most un-expected repairs plus some living expenses when repairs are being made.

Are there similiar plans out there ?

I like to compare before I buy, but don't know of other plans.

Thanks ,in advance for reading this, and further thanks to those who respond.

Thanks again====== AJBJRVERS

We have used WarrantyExperts.com for two different coaches with good results. A seven year 70k mile policy cost us a little over $3k for our diesel pusher and includes all electronic components, awnings, engine, tranny etc.

Check around and get quotes from others, that is what we did. Make sure to compare the coverage of the components and the reputation of the underwriter.

A couple others are Ford Easy Care, and National Extended warranty. THe cost of the policy will depend on the age and the type of coverage you are wanting. Be sure to read the fine print and understand before paying for it. Good luck and enjoy!

We have now had two satisfactory experiences with extended warranties. The first was with DFS Warranties and our present one is through Warranty Experts (available on line). I have found the Good Sam program to be the highest priced for what they offer. But keep in mind that this is a health insurance policy for the RV so the lowest price is usually not a good choice. Be sure that you read every line and understand the deductable, the coverage and the way that you get services paid for. Just like your health plan, the one that costs the least will also pay the least.

We also have warranty experts. One of the things I like about their policy is that if it's not listed as excluded then it's covered. Most of the others say it has to be listed to be covered. You know with the warranty experts just what is NOT covered and good to go with everything else.

Don't know if they are still offereing it but when we got our policy (for MH) it states that if we don't use it (at all) during the life of the policy we can get our money back. Might want to check this with them.

To; Starship and others interested in info on extended warranties.

Thanks for the info re; warranty experts23@msn.com

I requested a quote, very interesting, as you stated , on vehicles out of warranty,

They have " Exclusionary Coverage " which lists the things not covered as well as those that are covered.

For my 02 diesel pusher after listing all if re; coach, their quote came back as follows;

3 years/ 36,000 miles===$3,590.00
4 years/ 48,000 miles===$4,717.00

Both with a $100.00 per visit, not per item

It's about the same annual cost as Good Sam, but I think Good Sam will increase the 2nd and 3rd years.

Thanks for the help and info
