I've been investigating some extended warranties. The most attractive quote thus far is from GoRV Warranty. Anyone familiar with them? What, if any, warranty do you folks like?

None! i've had my attorney review several different warrenties. None pass. They all have exclusion clauses. Like the refrig goes out. Tthey want to see if you have serviced it per the mfg guideline. Or the engine needs rebuilding. where are your service records? OH, you went over the milage recomended by mfg before you changed oil because you were on your way home. OOPS! You just gave them a reason to deny the claim. We had an Dometic Air conditioner fail on a travel trailer. The dealer gave us a free extended warrenty, so we asked for permission to repair. they said OK. Good news, so we had the unirt replaced because it could not be fixed. We asked for their OK before it was done. again they said OK. So months went by and we didn't get reimbursted. finally they said NO pymt waS GOING TO COME . So, read carefully, pay attention to all the little bitty fine print and make your decesion. We've been told the largest majority of complaints come from warrenty companies not paying for what ever reason the choose. Bank your money!

I had several customers ask me about ext. warr. I always told them to take that money, put it in a savings acct. and let it grow. don't touch it unless you need it for repairs. I have done it for all 5 of my motorhomes. I have not had a major failure in any of my motorhomes. Just remember the ins. co. pays a big chunk of your policy cost to the dealer. They still come out ahead or they would go out of business.
