Extended Warranties??
The dealer is outrageous in the price of their extended warranty. I found one from Wholesale Warranties that seems reasonable and they said pretty much anyone can work on the rig. Does anyone have experience with extended warranties and do you recommend wholesale warranties or another organization? Thanks!

I never buy warranties. I find I have saved thousands over the years.
Save your money for repairs don’t pay for something like retaining a lawyer just for insurance.

If I were going to purchase and extended 'service policy', it would be from Wholesale Warranty--being sure to figure out exactly which of the options was best for the most coverage. I have to laugh at the "Car Shield" warranty ads on TV--coverage for up to 20-year-old cars....

Use search. Will find the same question a dozen times in the last week.

My policy from Wholesale Warranties paid out almost 2 1/2 times what I paid for it. Never had a claim denied and I never had a problem getting the shop or mobile repairman to accept it.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I've never been a fan of extended warranties on RV's. Those companies leave themselves too many loopholes to get out of paying your claim. I know some folks have said it pays off for them, but I think that, in most cases, you would be better off putting that same amount of money into a special bank account to be used only for repairs! JMHO
Noticed you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

warranties
Some just feel better purchasing an Extended Warranty and I get that, to each there own. However three things to remember is, 1. These warranties are written by lawyers, And NOT yours. 2 These warranties are negotiable they are not written in stone so dicker until you fine one that you are comfortable with, and 3. Read, Read, Read every line in their warranty. Far more is NOT covered than is and far more is covered with conditions.

The biggest problem with these policies is owners who don't follow the rules for claims. You must get prior approval for a claim and many don't and then complain when their claim is denied.

Exactly, also you got to have the shop call the warranty company.

As for Wholesale Warranties itself, it's a sales agency, not an insurer. They sell policies from a variety of insurers, and the policies vary in coverage and cost. Generally they sell policies for less than a dealer would for the same or similar coverage's, but shop around to be sure.

Great question... just realized they are not the "actual company". I can't see it on my quote, but I just replied and asked. Thanks.
