They are also the Administrator. They indicate that the agreement is insured by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida which they give the address and phone number for. It is an exclusionary policy which lists all they do not cover rather than what they do cover. My question is does anyone have any expierence with any of the above companies if so what do you think. I know there are different opinions about the wisdom of purchasing such a warrenty but thats is not my question. My coach is a 2004 diesel pusher with 56000 miles which I purchased new. Have not had any problems but with the age and mileage figured if Im to keep it a few more years the peace of mind would be worth the $$$. Asking for any input. Please advise.... Thanks in advance.... Don
Yes you said your question was NOT to buy or not to buy, but where to buy.
Read the many comments about problems with extended warranties in the RV magazines. I have a 99 Alpine DP with 74,000 miles. I bought it used 12-09 with 52,000 miles. Yes, I have made some repairs, but none that would have been covered with an EW. The last thing I am interested in purchasing is an EW.... There are far to many loop holes. You looked at Good Sam, I did to, what a joke. There are far to many exclusions for me. Example; Engine gets hot, warps the block and head. $20,000 job. It was caused by a broken fan belt. Now fan belts are not covered so your engine damage is not covered..Sorry Charlie...an EW is basically an insurance policy, be assured its all in their favor, just like a casino, they do not pay the electric bill with money they lost. For me, If I want peace of mind, I will keep my $$ in my pocket until I have to pay the repair bill. There is no free ride.. I bought a used 18 wheeler in 1985, I drove it for 24 years and 3,145,000 miles with out a warranty, and would do it again.
Before you spend all your $$, think real hard about the repairs that you have made on your coach since it was new.... Now read your proposed EW real close, now, how much of this would the EW have covered...
Thats problably not the information you asked for, just an old fart with an opinion, happy travels, the old trucker.
