extended warranty usa travel and tire shield

question...
i bought a 7 year extended warranty on my coachmen a year ago.
actually 2 policies.
tires with tire shield

and a bunch of other stuff ... exclusionary contract with usa travel.

have yall heard of either of these companies. good or bad....

i'm about to trade in the coachmen on a tiffin product.

i'm wondering... if i can just transfer it to the tiffin... there have been no claims.filed.
if the companies are rotten then i don't want to transfer and need to just cancel them..

i found something on the tire shield policy and i think i can transfer that policy if i pay an admin fee of ?50.

so far, i haven't found similar wording on the ext warranty policy with usa.

anyone done this and want to brag that it went well or tell a horror story.
thanks in advance.

For starters, try this link---

USA Travel Care

If that doesn't have the details, then check where you purchased it.

Also, check here:

thank you

wingnut,
thank you.

i was really leaning to transferring my existing warranty to the new tiffin.
but reading the consumer affairs complaints... was eye opening.

somehow,
making a sticky of warranty companies and comments would be a good idea.

compiling all that together in one place... the good and the bad. sort of like the site does for different manufacturers/chassis/engines.

just a thought.

Well, if you have already paid for a warranty--check what you could get as a refund and put it aside as a repair fund. But going from a Coachmen to a Tiffin probably will require more $$ anyway.
A lot of the extended warranties are just paper and are used to extract money from the consumer. Complaints outweigh compliments way more than even the complaints against new RV construction. So many ways to deny coverage, it is hard to decipher just what you are getting.
And, no matter what the problem, you are out the time to take it to repair and the loss of use--this will happer whether you have a warranty that works or not.
I know of one person who has used Good Sam for maybe 8 years and is way ahead on the $$--that might be one company to check out, and the exclusionary policies are the better ones.

Well, first off the are not an "extended warranty" they are, by law, a service policy contract. The specifics are in the fine print of the contract. Reading the policy would be a good way to start to see if it is transferrable or if there is a refund.

tire shield

so far.
the usa form says cancel through dealer.
i've called salesman at selling dealer... her referred me to finance mgr.. who is out. then i called and just for someone who knew about service warranties and got m. m. talked nice said he'd send the form to sign in 10 minutes.. it's not here and it's been a few hours!
in the meantime i got a sales dept email from dealer.. so 2 hours ago i sent it back addressed to m. and a copy to my salesman saying thank you and looking for the form to cancel..
we'll see what happens

last night "after hours" i called tire shield. lady thought i was filing a claim.
when she heard my request to cancel, she said someone would call me back.
mid morning, Tom, called me back.. he told me what to do to cancel.. no big hassle... then advised that the policy covers coach and towed vehicle for remainder of policy term... i've got 6 years left.
my original cost was 400. i just bought a toad..
there's 50 charge to transfer... so for 6 years i've got tire coverage for
about 300. at this point i'm transferring to the tiffin with the big ole tires...

i was impressed that tire shield called back!
