extended warranys

Has any one used go rv extended warranty, good or bad thoughts. Does anyone have a suggestion as to the best warranty companies?
we have a new Carriage Cameo, which has gone out of business leaving us orphans. Never had any problems with our 2003 Cameo for the 7 yrs we had it and so far so good with this 2011.
do I even need a extended warranty?
Thanks for your thoughts

Hi rving4us,
Based on what you told us, consider not purchasing a service contract. For me, service contracts are best for those:
1. purchasing a pre owned RV with no warranty (private person)
2. Purchasing any high end very complex motor coach with way too many systems for an owner to be able to fix themselves.

I totally agree with Gary, most extended Warranty's have more small print "Non Covered Items" than what is covered. Remember this when purchasing those warranty's "they are written by Lawyers" and NOT your lawyer.
Take the money they are going to charge you and put it in an escrow account in your bank. Money that you will more than likely still be there when you sell your current RV.
Just my 7 cents worth

I would not buy an extended warranty for a trailer. There simply is not enough risk of high dollar repairs to justify the cost of an extended warranty and its limited coverage. About your worst exposure is a new a/c or new fridge, and those aren't all that bad. Painful, to be sure, but so is the price of the warranty and it still may not cover your problem.
