Fall is a great time to get out. On Monday the DW and I head to Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park for some fall camping. The freedom of retirement sure is great.

We love all the CG on the drive! Fall is great but we are heading to Harpers Ferry this fall for Halloween with the kids.

Since it's so hot and humid here from the middle of June to the middle of Sept., we plan to do all our camping in the spring and fall from now on. No use going to a CG just to sit inside or drive to a mall to get out for exercise. Plus the noise of the A/C running almost 24/7 in the RV starts getting to me. I wish they could make them less noisy.

We're headed for the Ouachitas and Ozarks in about a week. I can't wait!

Some really nice pictures there Mr. Whitedvr. Love that shot of your grandson and the bubble. These are the moments you will forever cherish.

DW and I enjoy fall camping the most. Outerbanks of NC early Sept, the River of New Bern this upcoming weekend and then back to the OBX for a long week end in Oct. Thanksgiving will be spent in Virginia Beach. If the winter is mild who knows when and where we will be, somewhere close to the water.

We are hoping to camp there soon. Any recommendations on where to camp?

Is there a good spot in Harpers Ferry to camp with our grandson on Halloween?

The KOA is lots of fun.

We used to go to the outer banks in October or November each year. Just has not worked out the past two years with the kids school schedules. We want to start spending Thanksgiving in the outerbamks but the DW family got upset last time because they always come to our house.

Nothing like the leaves turning, some hot cocoa and quiet and restful space.
