I have two Fantastic Fans in our motorhome ... the screens were needing to be cleaned because of lint / dust build up.

I generally remove the screws, take the screens down, clean them, and put them back.

Today I found an old toothbrush, turned the fans up to the highest speed, did a little brushing ... and POOF the the lint and dust was gone ...

Why did it take me so long to figure this out?

A small piece of carpet works fine too - I just cut a 4x6 piece from a carpet scrap and wipe the screens with it. Works on window screens too.

A disposible paint brush works well also and is easy to use. The dust brush from your vacume (without the vac) will do the trick also. Just turn the fan to high (blowing out) and brush away.

Okay we have the screens clean now, How do you all clean the fan blades and the other support structure?

BBBEEBOP: G'morning. After removing screen and cleaning that, cleaning the rest is a slow job. So far it's been a process of wetting paper towel with Windex, and washing fan blades and other reachable areas using index finger. Boy, if anyone has a better idea we'd like to hear it also. I agree, I use small spong and keep rinsing it off as I go from blade to blade. I use a long plastic spoon to reach up above the blades with the sponge to do the cover and anything else I can reach. Very tedious job.
Anyone else have any better ideas.

All 3 of our Fantastic Fans have the new pop & lock, really nice and easy.

I have, in the past, taken the fan out from the rood side and given it a good cleaning. Those blades sure do catch a lot of crud.

I also have the pop and lock screens, they sure make it easy to clean the screens. I only wish you could easily remove the fan blades to clean them and the super structure above them. Going on the roof is an option but an I have done that but from the inside would be easier than climbing on the roof and removing the cover.
