Favorite Dishes to Prepare Camping
I did this thread on another forum and got some great recipes from all the posts folks made.
I thought I'd do the same thing here on iRV2 and see what kind of culinary delights some of you make when you're camping, or tailgating or anything else you're doing with your RV. After all, iRV2 is my favorite forum as evidenced by my iRV2 sticker on the back of the motor home.
I don't think it would be right though to ask for folks posts without throwing a couple out there to start it out.
Number 1 favorite is just a simple ribeye with montreal seasoning grilled to your liking. Variation of the same piece of meet. Mix a bottle of dark beer (I use porter) with about the same quantity of teriaki sauce, a little less is ok too. Add some cajon seasoning and mix it up good. Marinate the ribeyes for several hours and grill to your liking. No additional seasonings needed. Baked sweet potatoes go well with this one.
For simple fare snack food. A can of chili with beans mixed and warmed with either velveta or cream cheese. Add salsa and it's practilly a complete meal. Great on tortilla chips, especially the scoops version.
Favorite beverages. To many to list. Bottled various premium beers, jack & coke, a nice single malt scotch. And of course just plain water sometimes.

Trading/sharing camping recipes exposes one to many different foods that are easy to prepare. Some people really_really love to cook, and it appears that may be all. This forum is titled "Recipes" and Ms. Detweiler is eager to share.
I am just now entering a phase of cooking with a Dutch Oven, not much good but trying.
Don't get discouraged about your thread. The internet is endless, and cooking is a tiny tiny corner. Someone, somewhere has already thought of almost everything. (sure wish you and I had thought of facebook)

Whenever we cook things like gumbo, stews, or chili at home, we always fix extra and freeze the extras in quart size plastic containers to take camping. In the morning we dump one of the containers in a crock pot. When we decide to take a break from fishing lunch is piping hot and ready to eat.

Some years ago a friend showed me a simple improvement on scrambled eggs that we still enjoy often whether we are at home or on the road.
Sprinkle lightly with Cavandar's Greek Seasoning and Parmesan Cheese while scrambling, it's a tasty change.
