Favorite Dishes to prepare while RV'ing

Hoping this post will get a lot of replies and good ideas for meals prepared while camping and RV'ing. I know there's tons of recipes all over the internet, I'm curious though what some of the other forum members favorites are.

My favorite and a pretty simple meal is a ribeye with some montreal seasoning done on our little coleman roadmate grill. The sides are usually done in the microwave. I did do some really good burgers the other night that will find their way with us camping. Bleu cheese, chives, dry mustard, pepper, worchestershire sauce mixed with the ground beef. Topped with bacon and swiss cheese just before they're done.

It's kind of buried, but there's an entire section of the forum dedicated to cooking and recipes. RV Gourmet - iRV2 Forums Enjoy!

When we arrive at our cg the first night's meal is always a steak and bake potato and a couple of adult drinks.

We try to stick to things easy to make and that don't require time and a lot of ingredients. We use the outside grill a lot depending on the weather of course. One of our favorites is grilled pork chops smothered in BBQ sauce. They cook quickly and are delicious.

For a nighttime snack we make those small frozen pizzas in the toaster oven.

If we have a long day on the road, wifey sets up the crock pot on the counter with one of those springy rods to hold it in a corner (runs off inverter while driving). Drops in chicken or whatever, veggies, spuds. Several more hours down the road I park, house smells wonderful & I'm ready to eat. We've done corned beef, ribs, whatever this way. Great way to travel.

Pretty hard to beat hotdogs over the fire for the first night out complete with toasted buns. I love cooking everything I possibly can over the fire whether it's steaks, burgers, ribs, chicken or whatever else. Eggs Benny on the Coleman in the mornings.........darn, I'm getting hungry now.

Hungry

I don't know what is my favorite but, When Kate puts something in the slow cooker while we are traveling,Oh boy! You smell that stuff cooking all day and you get so hungry you could eat the right steer tire off the MH. I guess my favorite is any thing to eat when camping, everything tastes better when camping.

We cook the same things we do at home! We have an oven and the micro/conv. and the outside grill. Due to my gluten free diet we bake all our own breads and such. Life is good on the road!!

Most of the time we just use the same foods while on the road that we use at home. We try to keep at least one double serving of several dishes in the freezer so that we can just move them to the RV when we are ready to go. We keep at least one of DW's meatless lasagna, stuffed bell peppers, and Texas (or hamberger) hash available at all times.

We cook the same as home, I like to use the grill in the warm weather and the stove/oven in cooler weather. I am going to try the crock pot this coming weekend to make beef stew, opening day of trout season in S/E PA.

And thank you for your service as well! It was a pretty good burger. I'd never done one like that before. I was worried that it might fall apart easilly on the grill because of the cheese and chives, which are usually looseners in ground beef. I think mixing it up really good made it dense enough not to fall apart but without being to firm for eating.
