We found we have to make our reservations one year in advance to stay in Ft Meyers in our motorhome. We are in a beach campground but not on the Oceanside of the park - most of the folks there have been coming for years and years - I think you can pick up a day or two from time to time but seems you have to get into the seniority system to get 2 or 4 weeks. Good luck finding a place - there are some really nice RV parks about 30-60 miles outside and inland of Ft. Myers - try those~! After a few nites you might enjoy getting away from the crowds and traffic! Happy Trails to you.

We stopped by this new resort last February and there were still a lot of open spots. It is new and still has many lots available for purchase, so there wouldn't be as many owners to block you out.

Don't know for sure - they could be full this year!

We love Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. We like to be close to the beach and Sanibel. Gulf Waters is a very nice RV Park and you might want to check with them for availability. I just purchased an RV lot in Holiday Condo, Inc in Fort Myers. I think there are a few available rentals there. It is not a high end RV resort but it meets our needs. The problem is the office does not get involved with rentals so you have to find an owner and deal direct. Holiday Condo is about 3 miles from the Sanibel Causeway and very close to Fort Myers Beach. The park is mostly park models with RV lots scattered through the various streets. The lot sizes are about 34 feet by 65 feet. There is a heated outdoor pool, an indoor pool and the usual activities. I would guess most owners rent the lots for between $700 to $1000. Go to google maps and see if you can get a feel for the looks of the park. If you want I can try and find a phone number for you to call a lot owner that has availability.
