To finally after the long winter we had here in the northeast to finally de-winterize the travel trailer. Just have to add the food and hook up and we are ready for another fun filled season of RVing.
First trip May 6th

Yeah, we do all that too; plus put the propane tanks back on (we store our TT underground for the winter and the tanks have to be removed). But most Pennsylvania folks, like me, have an additional step before their RV is "street legal" again... we have to take them for state inspection. I always have them repack the bearings at this time. Then I really feel confident that the RV is "road worthy".

Hi Frank,
De-winterizing and state inspection......you know, I don't have to do either of those on my "new" RV. The other items I am loving about my "new" RV are 1.) NO payment, 2.) NO insurance and 3.) lower registration fee ($6.00)

Hey, George:
Yes, I too remember those days (and costs) when I owned a pop-up. In fact, my PU was a bit smaller than yours and weighed less than a half-ton (dry).
Pulling it with the diesel, I would get around 20 mpg and got as much as 25. I always had to keep looking back to see if it was still attached because you didn't even know it was there.
Your "project" RV is really looking good and we forward to camping with you and your family sometime this season.

They don't inspect trailers in New Hampshire. I did grease the bearings and I bought 4 new tires, the old ones were the origionals and were 8 years old.

It still has been quite chilly here. Yesterday it dropped to the teens, this am it was 21 degrees!

Don't have to grease the bearing, don't have any insurance, don't have any inspections, don't have any registration issues to deal with.
I think this Lance is going to work out!
