Finally a good antenna saver
So far we have yet to drive off with our antenna still up. I usually put a small bungee on the steering wheel so I won't drive off with it up.
I knew there had to be a better way, (lost the bungee somehow), and discovered the answer.
My wife gave me this clasping hair clip. It's about 3 inches long and clasp on the steering wheel. When we bring the antenna down I clasp it on the handle for raising and lowering it.
25 cent solution.
If this post saves just one antenna. ..lol
just trying to help.

I realize, this is more expensive, however I have used this for close to 10 years, without incident. I place the tag on the instrument panel covering the odometer.

I got ya beat - Do the same with a wooden clothespin.
5 cent solution!
Although I wrote "Antenna" on it in permanent marker, so the cost of the marker might even us up!

Got you beat. Had to replace antenna anyway so opted for a Jack antenna. Doesn't go up or down, no more worries.

alternate it can clip to the wheel but right now it's cleaped to the exit door since next time this rig moves the key won't be used.

While back someone posted he kept his keys on the antenna handle. Grab keys to go, bring down antenna. Free!

Lots of great ideas here.
The DW says I should explain the hair clasp we use has 6 rounded teeth on it with butterfly wings to open it.
So it clasp around the wheel and the raising handle.
This one can't get knocked off.

I have always put my ignition key on the antenna handle. Most positive solution to the problem. Zero cost.

We have a bag of clothes pins and a sharpie.
Steering wheel has flat spokes so pins clip well.
Everything written on pins as they are set and pin goes on steering wheel.
When getting ready to leave you grab pin and hold it until item is ready to go.
When all put away then another circle check then start and while coming up to ride height another look.

Our MH came with a bright yellow light next to the ignition switch that comes on every time the key is turned.
Doesn't matter how you remind yourself, just so it happens. I knocked one off our first 5er leaving a CG. I wondered why that crazy guy was waving his arms.

On the Dutch Star I hung the ignition keys from the handle.
The Magna has an electric antenna and I guess I need to put a hook in beside the control panel.

Yesterday after finishing up on my install of led tv, I found out my rv port is not high enough to drive under with the antenna up. Did not put keys on antenna handle that time. Tore the whole thing up including gear. Well, I had a couple of dollars I had not spent yet.
