I have been having problems with my Kwikee electric steps, and they finally gave out on me. I stopped in at General RV in Wayland, MI this morning. I was told (in advance) that they take no service appointments on Saturday as it is their PDI day for new purchases. The went on to tell me that they could "try" to work me in as time permitted. I took a chance and was the first in line when they opened in the morning.

They got my unit in very quickly and got to work diagnosing the problem. About an hour later I was informed that my control unit was toast. Actually I knew this before I went there. I was kept fully aware of the problems and cost estimates to complete the repair. After giving my approval, the repairs were completed and I was out of there in just under 2 hours, and at a reasonable cost.

I have to give them an A for good customer service. BTW, I did not buy the unit from them, but from a competing dealer. They never once asked me where I bought the unit, and didn't seem to care.

With all the negatives we see all the time, I thought it was about time for a positive service report.

Tom,
It's a good thing to read a positive report about your experience! This ol' world seems to only run on the negative aspect of news anymore, so I really appreciate your positive input.

I did post a positive response on RV Service Reviews. That can be a great resource for all of us, provided everyone uses it.
