Fire - 10 East of Fredericksburg, TX!!

10 AM this morning on East bound Hwy 290.. Jeep toad basically burned to the ground! "Newer" MH parked 75' in front with no visible damage so it appeared they got things disconnected in time. Would have done a pic however after 45 minutes in line to get around, wasn't in the picture taking mood..

Same thing happened to a friend of ours but the back of the new MH was ruined and took 2 months to repair.

Time for true confessions. - - When I first started towing, it was an S10 chevy pickup. the transfer case indicator was defective and I got it into low range instead of neutral. after about 3 miles at 60 MPH, in the mirror I noticed smoke behind us. The transmission was on fire and took about five gallons of water from our tank to extinguish. The aluminum transmission housing was burned almost in half. It is easy to do stupid things and only luck that the S10 wasn't ashes.

Have a nice day - Darrel
