this site is a blessing for new rv/ers like myself, thank all of you.

looking to by a 2001 Fourwinds/windsport 35d v-10 ford chassis, could you please give info or suggestions before i dive 10hrs to look at motorhome.

had a fleetwood jamboree 31 ft. with slide, was great class c, no room for driver to relax while driving, had to sit straight up.

Hi and welcome to the forum. One thought, is it possible to find the same or similar model at home to evaluate comforts and aesthetics before a 10 hour drive?

See if there is a floor plan of your intended unit on the Four Winds website. If you don't already have the information, this will illustrate the interior layout. Also, if there is a slide on the side right behind the driver, this may restrict the driver's seat angle when the slide is in and you are driving.

yes, (forgive me, still try to navigate this site), we have found the lay out we like. more intrested in mechanical aspects of RV,

(if you want to be a millionaire, ask a millionaire, not someone at checkin-checkout)

would trust those who live it, rather than those (salesman) tring to sell me one when it comes to the nuts and bolts of RVing

About 86,000 new. 2907 lbs CCC's. About average ratings for value and reliability. 54% ratio of chassis length to house length.

We have an '08 Windsport (36R) with the V-10. Only have 10,000 miles on it, but I have found it will go any where we want to get to. This summer we drove over Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado with no problem going up or down. I would buy another one if they still made the full basement Windsport, but Thor has made the Windsport a lower level MH now.
