Welcome to the forum. Like most others have said, stay close first time out, then venture away!!
Please be careful of the storms in your area. We are planning our Colorado trip next month and always take into consideration storms....part of life on the road. If you have a weather radio, I would take it.
Colorado is wonderful, just so much to see!
Keep us posted on your journey...and have fun!
Andi

Thank you to all for the info. I think we are planning a short trip in a week or so. We are going to a camp ground about 30 miles from home. We want to flush everything out, and then refill, use all the hookups the cg offers. This will give us a chance to make sure all is ok and still be close enough to home just incase. We are both looking so forward to a longer trip, but trying to be smart about things too.

All of you seem to be sure of yourselfs and offer great advice. We really appr. this. We are new to rving so all advice is so welcome!!!

I wouldn't go too far from home and not to far from service until you've checked everything out under driving and camping conditions.
