It's a bit of a drive (5000 km) but we site see on the way down and back - take our time (usually 10 -14 days depending on weather). We leave in the middle of Oct and return in April. Climate is warm and dry (desert environment) and there aren't any bugs. It rained twice last winter. There is also BLM land to boondock, which we have done a few times (Quartzite RV show in January). It's like living in paradise.
Hey Bill; any specific park? You can PM me if you don't want to give away your special place.

Thanks

We spent part of last winter in Arizona, and part of the winter on the Gulf coast. The weather on the gulf coast was cold most of February. It was also very windy the whole time we were there. The only warm weather we could find was either south Florida, or south Texas. Since we were heading east, then north back to Ontario, we decided to just tough it out. We didnt want to go all the way to the Keys just to get to nicer weather. South Padre Island in south Texas is a favorite of some of my Ontario friends. My preference is Arizona. We stayed down at desert level, then headed up the mountain to Flagstaff, Page, south Utah ect. when they had a good week or two of weather. As soon as the forcast changes, we head back down the hill to the desert. We also hopped over to Vegas a few years in row for something different to do.
