First Trip!

We are taking our first overnight trip this weekend. We are only going to Pine Mountain about 20 or so miles away but it will give us a good idea of what works & doesn't, along with how much our packing skills need to improve. :-) And our parking skills...and our sewer skills..and...We are excited & even bought a video camera - we just NEED to get some footage of our dog Samantha realizing the RV moves.

Now the stress of packing! We aren't buying duplicates of items since we are downsizing which will probably mean a lot of forgetting stuff (even with a list) but I think as long as we have a wine key, some food and each other - it should be a fun trip. It will also probably be entertaining for others in the campground as we figure things out.

Best of luck to you. You will have a great time. We spent our first overnight in our driveway. We thought it would be easier to get the fur-legged children accustomed to the coach before we started moving on down the road. We will probably spend another night in the home camp before we tackle the open road.Just remember that we are all in this together. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask.

We did our first overnight some years ago in our first RV at one of the irv2 rallies, and are forever grateful, as we were totally clueless, and needed help/advice about almost everything. Hope where you are going is a place where you will find more experienced folks to help you if you need help.

Thanks all - should be fun! We are bringing all of the manuals and should be able to figure out the rest. I will definitely do a post about it, although hopefully it will be a rather boring one instead of an action packed constant mess. lol Time to finish up packing!

We stayed at the resort - the state park had a two night minimum and since it was a last minute trip, we only wanted to do an overnighter. We (thankfully) didn't provide as much amusement as we thought we might. Everything went pretty smooth. Enjoy the baby shower!
