We did basically the same. Bought bus, and then went to a campground about 20 minutes from here for a weekend, and then left straight from there about 2.5 hours away.

Then the next weekend, we left for 2.5 weeks and 4200 miles round trip

It won't take you long to catch on to what's working, not working and the "what does that switch do?" stuff, so as long as everything appears to function, come on to Texas at first chance. Matter of fact, where ya headed? We'll meet you there

Dave, as others asked....is it new or used? What is your experience level with RVing?

Good idea about camping out close by, but with the cold weather in your area, it may be hard to do......think about the RV plumbing, is it winterized & needs to be de-winterized before leaving? A lot of other things you'll have to think about..add bad weather getting there, can you make it to an RV campground, or will stay at a truck stop, walmart, and etc. Just some food for thought.

Guess I should have stated that it is 2014 Model and replaces out 1999 Eagle Class C. I found a couple of local campgrounds that are open this time of year, so all we need is a day or two of 35 degrees or above I guess. It's easy to winterize, so doing it again isn't a concern.

Thanks again to all who replied.
