Really? I'd always heard that you'll have TP hanging everywhere there's a place to hang in your system if you used regular TP.... I'd love it if this was true! I really like Charmin TP....

You heard wrong. In our 16 years of full-timing and just using plain water, we never had an issue. You can't be stingy with water though.

Don't we all wish there was a light down there so we could see what's REALLY going on!

It is true. RV TP is a ripoff, regular TP, even the most plush variety, breaks down just as quickly and easily. As mentioned, always use generous amounts of water. Add extra before dumping. Don't put disposable diapers or feminine hygiene products in the tank. Just waste and TP. And water. Lots of water.

Oh, and tank chemicals are a waste of money too. It's a holding tank, not a septic system, and if you can smell it, the system has a problem.

Take a 5 gallon bucket. They come in handy for lots of stuff. When not in use it makes a good trash can and can be turned over for a seat.

You can also over pack. It is a true art form in our over 20+ years we still forget things. Don't sweat it as all others have posted basic everyday needs.

Take multiple credit cards .... many are limited to $75 or $100 per pump. You may need to use 2 or more cards to fill a tank.
