Flag pole
DW and I would like to purchase a good quality flag pole for our RV. Some of the ones I have seen are very poor quality. I am looking for a quality supplier and a good ladder mount. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I made my own out of a 24ft 3 section paint pole. I have a couple so I just attach one to the bike rack on the back of the MH.

One of the guys in our Good Sam group (were together this weekend) is sporting a new 5 section 20 footer that collapses down to 48".
It has a neat twist-in ladder rack and it sells for about $110.
He is sending me the information on it when he gets home tomorrow. I'll post it as soon as I get it.
Very GOOD product. I'm going to buy one.

You might look at these: http://www.flagpolebuddy.com/
Kind of expensive, but, it mounts very easily. The fiberglass pole won't be a lightning rod. They offer a solar powered light as an accessory to solve the challenge of retiring the colors at sunset.
Take care,
Stu

I've used one for years. I have the 16' but if I ever have to get another I'll get the 22'.

We purchased the aluminum below and we've been really happy with it. Someone mentioned to me about a RV getting a lightning strike with a tall aluminum pole so we're always conscious of the weather around us when we've got it up.

started with the 12 ft from Flagpole Buddy, then later bought the 22ft fiberglass with the solar globe that changes light colors. everyone notices the light changes at night, not real bright just a soft glow. i can add two flags on the tall pole, then if i want on the other ladder pole i can mount the short pole and the flag clears the roof. watch out for power lines.

Would the flagpole buddy put a strain on the ladder ??? I would think it may loosen the ladder fasteners.
Im looking for a " hitch " type set up ......anyone ever seen one ??

+1 on Flag Pole Buddy, I've used one for 3 years mounted to my ladder, they don't put enough strain on the ladder to think about (like I do), and it doesn't rattle in the wind like some others. Their pole is made of fibergalss, which is the only type of pole allowed at NASCAR races because of lightning strikes.

uncommonusa.com
Take a look at "uncommonusa.com" I carry the 25' with the USA, Texas and Unit flag in the lower compartment, and they have a couple of different RV mounts
