Flat water hoses?

We were sitting around with QVC on the tube, they were selling those flat wind up water hoses.....
We checked online, and the are ok for drinking water. Has anyone used them in the RV? They sure would take up less space.

I bought a flat fabric windup water hose at Campingworld and it works great. Much easier to deal with in cold weather than a rubber/synthetic hose that gets hard in the cold. IT does kink a bit so I have to make sure it's fully extended when using.

We tried one from a CW store and weren't happy with it. It came in a wind up reel but the outer casing for the hose wasn't smooth so it was hard to clean before retracting. Because the hose casing was rough, it didn't retract smoothly.

Also, to use it you had to take it out of the reel. Not a big deal by itself but a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps the one you saw might have been better. Do you have a link to it?

We haven't used our MH in "cold" yet but I would tend to agree with that assessment too.

Have gotten two different brands as gifts (different years), and tried them both. They were both in the dumpster in less than a month.

Note to self: Never say: "That looks like a good idea" in front of GF, right before Xmas.

We tried the flat water hoses and threw it away very shortly. It's been quite a while ago and I can't remember the reasons but it was another one of those great ideas that didn't work!

We have been in ACoE's where the spigot to refill was 70-80' away.Have used 50'er for extention for 10+ years. It does leak a little, but I don't have to care more hoses.
It stays wraped around holder until needed.
Good luck

I had one of those "Flat Water Hoses" once. Had to throw it away. Never was able to find any "flat water"!

I have one of those flat white hoses on the reel. Once they stay on for a while they expand and won't wind back on the reel until they have time to shrink.

I guess if it stays inflated for four hours you have to see a doctor.
