My coach was not damaged as we knew it would flood the campground. I moved mine up to the shop.
The manufacturers will not warranty a coach that has been flooded either.
The totaled unit are going to a slavage yard in Dalton, Ga.

Wow, that is a shame and glad to hear you put yours on higher ground. Prayers for those that lost it all.

That anyone would lose their home and/or livelyhood to an act of nature is indeed unfortunate..

Prayers and well wishes to all the "Nature Victims" out there....

Actually, if a business is "correctly Insured" in a down economic time like we have faced over the last year, this type of "disaster" could be a blessing in disguise, allowing a "marginal business" the time and funds needed to recover.

There were some customer units damaged but not destroyed. About the worse was the Allegro Bus and an Executive parked next to it.
Oh, it is low alright!

We bought our Winnebago there last year, good folks. Hope everything works out for the dealership. We're in Daphne,AL and we've seen these floods during hurricanes but this rain in the North GA and TN area was something else!

Just one more reason to get under any unite you plan on buying;; if theres rust---walk away. look for stains on carpet and storage; another good sign of flood damage.

Friends of mine lost their 5er there. They were away on the Trail of Tears ride and found out when they returned. Their ins. co. totaled it but they made out OK on $$$. They found a new(used) 5er last week.

Yeah, any individually owned unit would be covered by the rv owner's insurance policy. I would be worried that the actual cash value at the time of loss would be considerably less than the loan on the bigger, more expensive rigs. Someone could be out of pocket tens of thousands of dollars.

Flooded Dealership

Where is the Salvage yard In Dalton, GA. Are any of those coaches actualy salvagable? Can anyone buy them and fix them up for themselves? Were any of the engines under water or just partially submerged? Thank you for your answers to come.

Glad to hear you had Flood Insurance and wish you all the best of luck going forward.
