Flooded dealership

We are recovering from a massive flood at the dealership. Thankfully we have flood insurance and anything that had the axles under water was totaled and sent to salvage yards.

Wow, after seeing all the pictures, it looks like most all the inventory was totaled.I thought the insurance company might have tried to save some of the higher end units from the salvage yards. How sad....

Insurance or no insurance, that is so sad.

I believe it is in Woodstock Georgia. Employee cars were also involved.

I can appreciate the heartbreak of this situation, but...

I wonder how many of these units will end up on e-bay?????

And I am sure "Camping World" is well insured.....

What about the units in the service department awaiting service?

This dealership is in Chattanooga; on the Tn. - Georgia border. Woodstock Camping World is closed indefinitely as they had three feet in there building and lost 100% of their inventory. I think we will have lost over 50%.

New reason for, "Show me the Car Fax!"

In the past on iRV2.com, we've seen milky differential oil and damaged gear sets.

I am SO sorry!! This must be very hard for you :(

What a waste of those beautiful coaches!!

This is just a general question but it looks like the water level, in some, is only into the basement. That couldn't be salvaged?

Sheila :)

Just some of my personal knowledge at work.

Is it PHYSICALLY possible to salvage a lot of that inventory?
Yes.

Does doing so leave the seller of that repaired inventory in a bind, as flood damage must be disclosed and therefore makes them impossible to finance? Yes.

That is why there is insurance. The value of the inventory has been reduced below the cost of goods.

I thought that was the Woodstock Camping World at first myself. I bought my used Jayco from a family that lived five blocks away from there. A beautiful town.

Sorry to see the damage in Chattanooga, too.

I wonder where all of that salvage is going to.
