I have owned a few cars with salvaged titles but never a RV. State Farm will insure totaled cars for sure, but getting them to put in writing what they will actually pay you for it if it is involved in another accident and "totaled" is impossible. They rate your payment from what a non salvaged titled vehicle goes for but would never put in writing what they would pay me.

Kinda on the subject.....

When IAA sent the tow truck to pull my 21' Forest River after Harvey-

They did not even pull up the stabilizers. They disconnected the water, power, sewer, confirmed the title to the VIN and were GONE. I think they rode over the tire chocks. I thought about it and realized the drivers were paid by the unit pulled and could care less about taking care of it. I then realized they are really just repo guys filling in.

I am positive it was sold as a salvage title.
