Florida Flooding
Was just watching the news and noticed that major flash flooding is going on in Florida. Hoping that no RV'ing individuals are being affected.

My wife, who is in Miami, told me the flooding was in the Palm Beach area. They had 18 inches of rain.

Wouldn't swear to it but I think that was standing water in some street intersections and not rainfall. Palm Beach had about 6 inches, Boynton Beach had about 11 inches and Vero Beach had 2 inches of rainfall. That's still a lot of water in a relatively short period! 2" (give or take) is equivalent to 20"-24" of snow ... but warmer ....

I also saw that a Tornado touched down and destroyed a mobile home park.
Keep your heads down!

It's always both amusing and vexxing when Yankees think a tornado, hurricane or flood devastates the entire state of Florida! Ours is a big state and these events are always regional.

A small area had severe flooding. People had to be evacuated. Their vehicles and homes were inundated. There is a flooding-caused sinkhole that ate a bit of highway. There was no tornado. The damages were all confined to Palm Beach County.

Bands coming through in Tally. It'll be gone soon. Not enough for any flooding.
