After four Flying J stops for gasoline on last weeks travels, I noticed the discount was not appearing on the receipt. They changed their rules effictive Feb. 1. http://www.flyingj.com/programs/rvclub.cfm

The Flying J R.V. Card program now requires store purchases to obtain any discount and limits discount to 100 gallons per month. A minimum of $10.00 store purchase will qualify you for 3 cents per gallon discount. No store purchase >> No discount.

What other gas stations provide a discount and are RV friendly?

Some rebates/discounts/cash back are available via the credit card one uses.

I received the 1 cent off at the pump on my recent trip. Left 2-22 and returned 3-20.

Filled up in Texarkana and Just south of Nashville and no discount. Seems a purchase of food, drinks and "stuff" will allow you to get discount next month. Will try and find it in writing. Seems they can't get enough money.

That really stinks. Better off with a cash back credit card.

one needs to understand how unique state laws are involved. I can't speak to this specific situation. Exampleunless things changed very recently) the state of NJ does not allow any type of discount on gasoline. Even those gas companies that offer free gas in conjunction with obtaining one of "their" credit cards can only be used in states other than NJ.

You hit it. Most times, I have not been able to get the pump card reader at Flying J to read my J card so I have decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I use Amex Blue and get cash back or my Cabela's Visa and get free fishing tackle!

A $.01 discount doesn't add up to much, anyway...if you filled up with 100 gallons, that would only be $1.00 off.

It's my understanding that even if you don't get the discount, the use of the card allows you to get the cash price. We haven't been to a Flying J since they made this change, so I don't know from personal experience if this is true, but that's what other people are saying.

smlranger is right on. Amex Blue is one of the best around right now.

No problem with the discount at Wells NV yesterday. Filled up at the commercial truck islands and paid cash.

My Advanta Business card is great. I run a pilot car for oversize loads - about 1500 mi/wk. I put all my expenses on it. I get cash back eveytime I accumulate $50.00. Don't even have to ask for it - comes automatically.

Got a nice suprise at the "J's" Waco TX store , No fuel discount as everyone said is happening as I haven't used my card for awhile, but got $3.98 discount and another $1.98 senior discount off our meal. $5.96 is alot more than $.55 off my fuel bill.
Question if we ate first and then fueled would I got the fuel discount plus the food discount?

No. Money spent in the store/restaurant in the current month determines the discount rate for the following month.
