Flying J Jarrell Tx

Pulled into the RV fueling to get diesel for my 40 motorhome at the Flying J and the pump wouldn't take my flying j card. My dw goes inside with the card to be told the front pumps of the station, including RV lanes, is Chevron station only. If I want to use my Flying J card I have to pull out and drive around back to the truck lanes which are flying j. That is just nuts. So I guess if I walk into the back of the building I'm in the Flying J. If I walk into the front of the building, I'm in the Chevron station. It may not have been so bad if it hadn't been so stinking hard to get into the RV pumps in the first place. I knew something was wrong when my DW walked out smiling and the pump was still not on. She said it was great watching my face while she told me what the clerk said.

Noticed that Pilot has taken the lease for the fuel (truck islands) over in some areas and yes they ring sales up on 2 separate terminals. Does it make sense? Probably not, but it is a business model we may have to see how it plays out.

One reason to use the truck lanes. I have always used the truck lanes. To darn big to try an negotiate the front pumps.

Having a 45 footer I never try to use the RV lanes... AND the next time you stop request a Pilot/Flying J "My Rewards" card. The card will turn the "Truck Lane" pumps on.

At that one just using my flying J card activated the pump. Lesson learned, use the truck lanes.
