Flying J Magazine

Anyone see it, got a e-mail today about the FJ Challenge Magazine.

Looking at the web page, found some interesting notes. Had a listing of all locations along with fuel prices and weather conditions.

Might be worth a look see when heading out. Will make for an easy comparison with other fuel centers in the area as you travel near.

Gas Buddy may or may not have diesel prices listed. That's why we have the Love's, Pilot/Flying J and My DAT Trucker Services apps on the phone along with Gas Buddy. GB is updated by anyone that has an account and not everyone updates diesel prices.

Gasbuddy works for me because FJ is not my focus. Local competitors are often cheaper, making FJ prices a moot point.
Some folks just have a panicky thing about getting into and out of a regular gas station. Not me! :-)

This will give you the main truck stops. Diesel fuel prices and surcharge in highway truck stops

With a 36 ft. diesel motorhome towing a Ford Explorer, has stations are not a focus for me. I know the trucker islands will handle my rig at any truck stop. Gas stations maybe, maybe not.

I check ALL the apps for almost all truck stops and/or gas stations to see the prices. If Flying J has the lowest price then that's where we go, if Love's or any other gas station has the lowest price then that's where we head to. Like I said I check them while Thom is driving. I pick the ones not far from the road and lowest prices.

In my case I prefer somewhere I know has a high fuel turn over.
I did a Lucas Oil one time and while I got in and out, with minimal adjusting, they were not real thrilled with 52' of vehicle blocking things.
As I do some dry camping it also helps that they have a dump at a few Js around here. The one I was at Sunday, if DW would help, I could have filled and emptied at the same time.
