Used our Flying J/ Pilot card from Florida to PA and west throughout I 90...no problem. Discount applied at pump. I do not insert a credit card, only the FJ/P card followed by my pin #.

I too used my P/FJ card from Boston to LA and back with no problems!

We have hit a couple stations that were franchise owned and did not get the discount. One station in IIRC was in Wisconsin had a sticker on the pump that said state law preventde them from honoring the discount. But it seems like we got gas at another station in Wi that did give us the discount. Jim.

Swiped my GS Elite card at a Pilot in Missouri on May 7 and price dropped 5 c per gallon.

Everytime I have stopped at a Flying J, it was always "swipe the discount/loyality card FIRST, then your payment card.

I gassed at a Flying J a couple of years ago that didn't give me the discount and when I asked why they said they did not participate in that program. I doubt you'd find two in a row like that though, so I suspect something wrong with your card.

I got my discount when I used my Flying J / Good Sam charge card a few weeks back. I remember a couple of trips ago I came across a few Flying J / Pilot's that did not honor the discounts checking further they were Flying J / Pilot's that had Flying J / Pilot diesel but a different gas brand. Couldn't tell the difference except looking at the gas pump. Also when I was in Wisconsin a state law prohibits discounts. Lastly, perhaps the magnetic strip went bad on the GS Card.

Thanks for everyone's input il be keeping an eye on cash/card pricing at locations and participating locations in the upcoming week heading to Canada then Alaska.
