FMCA Tire Program
Newbie to the forum but love all the information. Question I have is I have been told by a couple of other RVers that you can only use the FMCA tire discount once. I have not been able to find any information to support or dispute this claim. Thought I would ask if there are others out there that have used the program more than once. Seems logical to me you could use multiple times but want to make sure. Will make a difference in replacing 4 or 8 tires on a DP.
Thanks for all the help on the forums.

No limit on number of times you can use it so far as I can determine. Used it a couple years ago.

Never heard that rumor before. I've used it twice in the past two years.

The FMCA tire program webpage has/did have an advisory to check around for best pricing, as the rebate program was not always the best deal.

I think that's just another rumor! That wouldn't make sense from a business standpoint!

If you totally compare Apples to Apples and get a better price than FMCA,.. then you definitely have gotten a good deal. I'm not saying it doesn't exist - I'm just saying in my experience and local, FMCA was by far the best deal. When I comparison shopped for my RV tires, the local dealers couldn't even come close - FMCA was below their cost.

You can use the program to buy tires for the toad also. Bought tries for the Jeep cheaper than the dealer could get them for.
Your mileage may vary.

It was there 2-4 yrs ago Joe, I even brought it up on the FMCA forums and it was confirmed by someone at HQ. That statement has since been removed, but if you call HQ they will tell you that if you ask about lower pricing.
Here is a reply I made 1-31-2017, another 9-05-2015.
I could link to more, but you see my point, someone would have called me on the statement several years ago if I lied.
FMCA only arranged the program with Michelin, they have nothing to do with pricing or sales, only the FMCA discount.

The FMCA program is simply Michelin's Fleet Buyer Pricing. Tire dealers that handle a large volume can sometimes get better pricing, basically by buying truckloads rather than piecemeal. If you call around and ask, you might find a high volume dealer that handles your size. Generally, though, you won't beat the FMCA/fleet price for individual purchases.
An example of local bargain pricing: A local truck tire chain near me handles all the tire needs for a regional grocers fleet. The grocery semi-trucks all use the same brand & size, and their trailers all use another same size. The tire dealer buys those two sizes by the truckload from Continental. It so happens that one of those sizes is an acceptable alternate to the 295/80R22.5's that were OEM on my coach and the dealer offered me that tire for $200 (each) less than the OEM size. Not bad for a fraction of an inch size difference and no other tire dealer could come close. Guess which ones I bought?
