Fog or Foggy Windows

I had a great repair experience that I wanted to share with everyone.

suncoastdesigners.com

They have a 10 spot rv lot with 50amp/water/dumpstation. You come in the night before (if you want). They pull your window early in the am, tape over the hole so you can stay in your rv, disassemble, polish, reassemble, pull vacuum, and re-install in one day. 5 year warrenty, BEAUTIFUL work!.

200 dollars for any window except drivers side window is 250. I thought it was a bargain. If your window is so cloudy it won't polish out, they will replace the glass for $35 a pane, and you MAY have to wait 1-3 days for new glass, although they stock a HUGE number of the more common pieces. I believe they generally can tell you before removal if it will need to be replaced though sometimes one can sneak up on you. They had one of mine in stock and had to order the other piece I needed. I have an older Monaco with the bronzed tint, there just aren't a ton of my coach around. Mine were so cloudy they looked like privacy glass. I just lived with it cause my dealer wanted a ton of money to replace them. They were still able to make half my glass look like new again.

I can not stress how pleased I was with doing business with these folks.

Thanks for the link. They're located fairly close to where we stay for the winter, so it would be easy to drive over for the day. We've already had a bunch of windows replaced under warranty; but now we're out of warranty, and this would be a good way to save some money if we have any future problems.

There is a huge demand for this service and will only be increasing in the near future. Would be a great business to get into. Glad to hear these guys are doing it right. That should bring them lots of work.

For those on the west coast, and have foggy windows or creeping seals, contact Dave Root via the web.
He just rebuilt 3 windows for my Safari and cost was about $300 per window. He actually comes to your site and does the repairs. He work is first class, I am very happy with his service, and recommend him.
I believe his permanent home is Bend Oregon, but he is now in So Calif and Arizona, maybe even going to Quartzite. If you have immediate need and are in these locations, just do a web search and make contact. When he left my home, going south, he had some time available.

Thanks for the report. It is great to read a total "thumbs up."

We will be there in June.
