Foremost RV Insurance

Hello all,

Does anyone here know anything about Foremost Insurance out of Michigan? I received a great quote from this company, and wonder what reputation, if any, that they might have

Thanks in advance.

James

Not recently, but they have been the underwriter for a couple of companies that I have used over the years. Never had a claim, so I can't be much help. As it seems like I have to change every couple of years to get good rates, I may give them a call.

They insure our double wide mobile home and we have had three claims that were all handled promptly and adequately. Didn't know they had RV insurance, though.

Foremost is part of the Farmers Group, a very large insurer and financial services company.

We have Formost on our coach, through Farmers. Only had the need to use it once when we had a blow out several years ago. They got someone two us pretty quick and I never did see a bill for the tire change. My only experience though.

Had'em. Paid the bill, never filed a claim. Reasonable rates.

Had them for two years through Farmers. This year , with no claims they raised my rate over $200 per year. Dropped them for GMAC Through Good Sam, which was much more reasonable.

Foremost Insurance

Thanks everyone for the input on Foremost.

They offered a $250 and $250 (collision / comp) in a policy just over $300/yr.

This is coverage for a 2000 - 29' Fleetwood.

Good deal?

Roadside included

Thanks again.

James

They paid out my claim quickly back in 2008 (started with them in 2005). Then in 2011 the rate went up over $200 so I dropped them like a hot potato.

Is that for a trailer or a motorhome? Sounds too cheap to include liability coverage for a motorized vehicle.

Thank you for your input

This Foremost policy is for 2000 Fleetwood Tioga with a Ford E-450 V-10 chassis.

Yeah, unless their is hidden clauses etc. that I missed, it does sound cheap. And the $250 for both collision and comp., which included "reasonable" roadside assistance, clinched the deal at 317.00 / year.

But I did say this RV is being stored / parked at a local Marine Corp air station. It is very secure at that place.

Have you had any experience with this company?

Thank you.

Does not seem possible. That is less than what I pay for my 2005 minivan. Are you sure that covers in motion or do they think you have it in long term storage and not using it?

The quote I got for a new unit with $1K deductible for windshield replacement was over $1500. I know, not an exact comparison.

"Are you sure that covers in motion or do they think you have it in long term storage and not using it?"

Everything looks legitimate in the policy. But if they thought I have this RV in long term storage, where in the policy would it state "long term storage, and not using it?" Among other items, the policy indicates terms for collision, comp., liability, and roadside assistance (reasonable) etc..

Where would I look for not in "motion" clauses?

Am a bit confused

Thanks

James

Sometimes an RV Insurance broker can get you the lowest rate from a broad spectrum of RV Insurance Companies.

Check out our Sponsor "Explorer RV Insurance"

They will know if you are getting a good deal or not. You're still in the driver's seat so give them a call.

You can even do an on-line chat if that works for you:
