Forsyth, Ga campgrounds- looking for info

As I pass through Georgia to Florida our overnight stop is in Forsyth, Ga area. I found 2 campgrounds---1 is the KOA (stayed there last year) and the other is the L & D RV Park. I can find a couple of reviews but am looking for some recent info-recommendations. Past reviews indicated access road concerns width and height. (36 ft Big Horn 5th wheel)
Anyone have recent experience at L & D?

Gary

If you are just needing a place to park, sleep and maybe eat a couple of meals, then take a look at the rest area southbound just below Forsyth and just before the Macon By-pass. They have designated RV parking sites and a dump station. Sites are in the wooded area with no trucks or autos allowed. No charge is a great price if you are watching costs.

depending upon when ur passing through the GA Natl Fairagrouds in Perry have RV hookups. Fair is in town next week, for two weeks. open field rv spots.

there are also two sites macon just off interstate. off 75 is shriners park, large open space. off 475 if the VFW site, also field with large space.

also, know GA rest areas have free rv dump sites.

Not exactly what you asked, but we found Twin Oaks, just south of Perry, to be very good for an overnight.

I am typing this from L & D. It is nice, quiet and inexpensive. $25 for the night with a Good Sam card. Level gravel pull thru site. I also read the reviews and decided against the KOA. This place is away from the highway by a couple miles but easy to find. We'll remember this place when we come back through the area. Electric, water, sewer. No cable and wi-fi is adequate but we're close to the office.

We full timed for 8 months and stayed a few miles from Forsyth in a little town called Culloden. While we were there, the cops busted a meth lab at the koa in Forsyth. Google it. There is a nice campground 15 minutes off the Forsyth exit in Culloden called heart of georgia campground. Never stayed there but looked nice.
