Freshening up an '89 Cobra Malibu - lots to learn and lots of questions

Last weekend we picked up a 1989 Cobra Malibu.

Most everything works on it, but a lot of little cleaning up type things to take care of.

Tires and brakes real good. 454 runs excellent. Roof AC works. Furnace works. All the lights inside work. Microwave, oven and stove work. New fridge put in a couple years ago. Generator fires right up. Carpet and flooring in the kitchen are fairly new.

-What cleaner works good to clean up the fiberglass on the outside?

-Need to replace the drivers window as it was broken out just before we got it. Going to try an auto glass place and see if they can replace the broken out section.

-hot water tank needs to be replaced. Planning on just pulling it and match up for a replacement. Was told it all worked last year and the tank must have formed a leak over winter.

-The chairs and couch all need to be at least reupholstered. May replace the captains chairs. Recommendations for something very inexpensive welcomed.

-need a mattress also. opinions?

-needs two new coach batteries

The worst part is that the shower was removed and made into a large closet. For now, it will stay. But, I sure would like to put a shower back into it. Comments?

I am sure I will come up with more to talk about, but that's it to start.

I appreciate any comments and suggestions you may have.
