I appreciate all the replys. I am a Lifetime member of Good Sam and applied for the Pilot/Flying J card. Says it will let you pump up to $495 of diesel without cutting it off. Also 8cents off of cash price, other discounts on gas, dumping, propane and several other things. Maybe this is the ticket to fuel peaceful pumping pleasure at Pilot! We'll see

After using a debit card for several years and enduring the hassles with multiple swipes, or leaving the card with the attendant, we have used cash only for the past couple of years. I am less apprehensive about carrying the cash than I am about credit card security. We use a bank that refunds all cash machine charges, so we don't have to carry a large sum for the entire trip. Still have to make two trips inside, but I need the break. Cash discount is ok also.

Since we have a gasser, this is in the auto and RV lanes. No idea how these "RV" cards would work in truck/diesel lanes.
X3. We got the card and use it for our DP in the trucker lanes. If you use the card you can't pay at the pump in the trucker lanes, but you can activate the card for auto-pump start (can be done when you get it) so you only go inside once. The card gives you a nice discount off the pump price. No limits that I'm aware of.
