Fuel gauge with plug not wires

2001 Winnebago Journey fuel gauge stuck past full in or out of system. RV has VDU and gauge has plug not two wires described in all the posts. How to test and know what is expected inputs is not available at Winnebago or Freightliner.
Any chance of repair. No more Borg Warner???

Fuel gauge will read full went not getting fuel sensor reading. 1er unplug 2 wire weather plug at fuel tank sensor, 2er check to make sure wires are not broken on the plug itself, 3er if wire OK, check with a volt meter if you have voltage, one of the wire is low voltage and the second wire is ground. 4er if you have voltage, re plug and make sure plug is all the way in until lock tab is in place and check gauge, 5er if you have no voltage check fuse panel for fuel gauge fuse, replace if burn, if fuse ok and still don't have a working fuel gauge, Well at this point you will need a electrical mechanic to trace the problem.

Thanks

Will check that fuel tank end of system. I have a VDU between tank and gauge. Gauge pegged past full even when out of system. Points to it being bad, but the only one in United States is $250.00. Costly to throw non returnable parts at issue!!Wanted to get inputs and output values of VDU first.
