We pulled into Cottonwood Arizona this evening just in time to see a full moon rise out of the mountains behind us!

What do ya think?

Great picture!

That moon, by the way, belongs to my 5 year old granddaughter. She shares it with the rest of us, which is very generous. She commented yesterday evening as her moon popped up on the eastern horizon on our way back to her house from McDonalds that it was following us.

It must have followed y'all too!

Hi Pat: Thanks for the FABULOUS moon pic. Is that taken w. a digital camera? If so, what kind of camera and what settings?? Don't mean to pry, but we're "COOLING" our heals over in Benson, AZ and are experiencing that dramatic moonrise over the Dragoon Mtns. just to our East but can't get that kind of great pic. Yours even highlights the craters on the moon!!! It's so C O L D out here we run out, take a photo, and run back in before the camera freezes. By the way, what are the temps like up in Cottonwood? Thanks again. Steve & Lynette

Hey Chickadee, the settings were at f/2.8 @1/8th of a second. ISO 100 shot with a Canon 30D with a 28-300 "L" Lens - Extended all the way to 300mm. And of course on a tripod,

The temps werent that bad till late in the night, around 2:30 when the wind picked up and it was a cold wind.

We had went through some rain on our drive up and wanted to leave the awning out to dry out, which ended up in us getting up @ 2am to put it back in

But the temps are calling for the high 60's toady and high clouds, so it's another beautiful day in the sun!! Man I love following the warm weather around. My parents are in Michigan in snow and freezing temps and not liking us telling them how nice it is here

Have a great Holiday, thanks for all the replies on the photo! Cant wait to see how it looks tonight!

Pat
