Fulltime prep

Going fulltime march 2017,so what I'm looking for is info on how to get my personal belongings ie;furniture,tv's and all the other stuff sold off.Had a couple of garage sales last summer but that was kind of a bust.Live in Colorado so the time is late spring to late summer.We have a 6bedroom house so we are talking about alot of stuff.Thanks in advance.........:

Craigslist, resale stores that buy estates. You will make more money selling it off of craigslist but you might be able to sell it all to one place if you check the resale places.

My parents hired an estate sale place after giving me and friends first choice. Guess it worked OK as they got rid of stuff.

First we advertised the big items separately (cars, appliances, furniture) then we asked the kids to take what they wanted. From there it was a garage sale, Goodwill and finally the dump.

We made the decision to full-time and took off within 6 months!

We're the the same process. Selling stuff on Craig's List. Just watch out for the scammers.

Estate sale...

We go to many and you advertise as living estate sale as folks think it is a bust if nobody died...

We recently went to one that was "different".

Most are top dollar day one with discounts day 2 and then cleanup of mess.

This one was still a fair amount of assorted items with nothing junky but just loose odds and ends that a handfull would be worth a nickel to an odd kitchen electric or wall art.

We had a collection of items we wete going to buy and it was late in the day and the host announced "everything is free" and the few folks there cleaned the place out in minutes...

So use craigs list for large items to get started.

Then have living estate sales to have groups and for those have help or do by appointment.

When you are ready to get out have the last sale and make the last part free.
