Hi Brad I'll answer for my hubby! Radio Shack is his store. He loves all the gadgets in there. He will not be without his atomic clocks. To make sure alll clocks in house are set right. Did you ever watch MONK on TV? Well that is dear hubby with time.

Dave.. being Canadian, with our gun laws I've never had the need to carry a gun. Just wondering how many people who carry a gun have ever had to use one. Canada is by no means immune to bad guys, just that its not something we hear about here. I wouldn't really call a gun, a gadget, although some would.

I can give my opinion. I bought one as I have 3 dogs and a cat and live with bushels of lost fur. (Lost from the pets, but not lost to me).

In the dining room of hard tile it wants to hang up inside the legs of a chair. So I put the chairs on the table and it sucks away. It must be emptied frequently as there is just a small tray to catch stuff.

On the living room and bedrooms the capet is thick (not unreasonably so) and it bogs down.

On indoor/outdoor carpet it runs pretty well and is easier than bring out the big Hoover, there are little 'stations' that send a signal across doorways you don't want Roomba in. The normal bedroom doors Roomba bumps into and changes direction.

The only place I use it now is once in a while in a long hallway.

I consider it, for my uses, more of a novelty, and you really can't beat an upright on 110 volts with a 12 volt battery. Art

I'd recommend you catch a demo before you buy.
